So I have been having lots of fun lately flying the plane. Everything has been working well but I detected a tiny amount of grease coming from the prop. Investigating a bit we saw traces of grease coming from the blade roots by the hub so it is back to the prop shop for repairs.
The mechanic came by this morning and removed the prop. By lunch the prop was on its way to the prop shop and the plane looked like this.

Looks a bit funny. Yes that is a rag stuffed in the front. The pitch of the prop is controlled by engine oil. When the prop is off, this is the high tech plug to keep dirt out and oil in. Prop will be back next week so I am grounded for a bit.
